A very charming place. Although we only stayed one night, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return.

The road getting there.

The typical Toledo design, amazing views, peaceful atmosphere and beautiful swimming pool - that´s Casa Rural Cigarral del Pintor. If I live in Toledo I would like to have my wedding there. I have just one word - perfect! And for the price of 30 euros per night... :-)

If you don´t have car, it´s almost impossible to get there, also the road is a little bit rocky so watch out!

The road to the hotel has to be completed. As there is no restaurant on the hotel premises, it should be said on the internet pages. And also that the closest restaurants are so and so kilometres away, and dinner in them served from 8.30 pm. These are the main defects, the unfinished bad road and no restaurant.

The building was beautiful, our private terrace huge and with fantastic country views. We chose the hotel because it was one of the few in Toledo that would accept our dog; and it was really a good choice for our dog, with the big terrace and lots of easy walks around! The employee was very helpul about explaining where we could park in Toledo for free.

It is not so much that we didn;t like the hotel. But we had not understood that the hotel was so remote! It was almost impossible to find as we don't have a satnav and if we had arrived after dark, it would have been very scarey going up the dirt track into nowhere?? We suggest a warning about the directions and a link to help you find it - eg look for the ac hotels...look out for the reed signs, don;t worry about the dirt track etc. Because it was so remote, and after a long drive from Malaga, we couldn't bear driving back down into Toledo for dinner - and there wasn't any food available in the hotel. It would be much better if they could have offered at least a sandwich/soup or other snack. The mini bar wan;t working, but they did dig out a couple of cold beers for us which was much appreciated. If you go to this hotel, best bring your own food - - the ad shoudl warn about this. Or perhaps you can book dinner ?? in which case the ad should specify this. Never mind, we relished the breakfast (although better coffee would have been nice). Yes I would recommend the hotel for someone with a dog but not otherwise as for us we would have preferred to be more central. However we did appreciate the private parking which felt very safe.

This hotel is beautiful and clean with delicious breakfast. It is located in the rulral area near Toledo. If you have a car this hotel is the best option. You can relax and have sightseeing within 10 minutes drive to Toledo.
